Barunga Festival is one of the most important and longest-running community festivals in regional Australia. It is an iconic event with a long and proud tradition of celebrating the best of remote Indigenous Australia.

Every year thousands of people flock to the small remote community, about 80km south-east of Katherine to camp and take part in a program of music, sport, traditional arts and cultural activities over the 3-day long weekend in June each year.
